watched The Forbidden Kingdom on Sunday, damn lame la some parts… those who watched it will know… but the usual Jackie Chan humor is still there, so you still get to laugh. And fighting scene between Jackie & Jet is not bad too… overall still can watch

going to watch Harold and Kumar 2 soon, the first movie was hilarious, watched it many times already, those haven watched the first movie go rent or borrow from someone, won’t regret one. Hopefully this sequel will not disappoint me.

went to 50th Anniversary Concert of MSHS on Tuesday at the Esplanade. as I have told some, I shall not comment on the topic of ’selection of emcees’, cos I believe there is no purpose is doing so. Other than that, performances were quite interesting (during the first half of course, if you get what I mean). I noticed that around 10% of the seats became empty too after the intermission, obviously goes to show what majority of the people were there for. =)

I was stationed at the Anthro (Height & Weight) station this whole week, and I had these two boys who I measured their height and weight. After they finished their procedures they came over and started asking:

A: “eh… can you measure our heights for us again, seems that your machine is not accurate”

Me: “oh ok, I check for you again”

A: “see, the first time you measured it was 1 cm shorter.”

Me: “1cm?”

B: “yeah, me too, mine was shorter by 1cm also”

Me: “1cm?”

A: “yeah, when we measured in school it was 1cm more.”

Me: “oh… actually 1cm does not make a lot of difference, cos its only for record purposes, will not affect your status grading whatsoever.”

A+B : “NO! 1 cm is A LOT OF DIFFERENCE you know.”

Me: “ok……………………………………………………………………”

The egos of kids nowadays…

All I can say is that the Singapore Police Force is extremely inefficient, (at the very least Serangoon NPP) Never in my life have I heard of someone having to wait an hour just to change the address on the IC. Like seriously speaking, the last time I knew, it only took like 5mins to process.

Has the standard of service degraded to such an extent? Can’t they even have basic management and organization skills?

According to my mom, it was because there were a few others taking a long time to report their cases to the staff there. Not that I’m saying they should not take their time to report their case, but if this was so, they should have set up a separate queue to handle cases that will require 15mins or less to process, instead of allowing the queue to build up just because the person in front is taking a slightly longer time.

I’m sure the police force doesn’t need someone like me to tell them how to solve such a simple problem.

2nd week liao… OJT is really fun… can go around and learn everything. Hopefully I can get posted to the station of my choice after the test. After all there are some people that I think I will not be able to get along with. Two years!! not like last time attachment… not happy then just tahan few months can liao… Anyway I already have my choices in mind, so all that’s left is for my boss to decide my fate.

It only irritates people further.
