校园 Superstar 2

I kinda look forward to this season.. more talents to be discovered! tonight was the first episode and as usual they show auditions again.. making me laugh until stomachache.. seriously I don’t understand why people take part in singing competitions obviously knowing they can’t sing? or do they really think that they can?

whatever the reason, I’m looking forward to future episodes, can see a lot of potential amongst the finalists, think the guys will win again this season, cos the girls didn’t really stand out compared to the guys.

Noticed every season that there will be a public enemy, this happens in every competition, such as Renfred from season one, it’s like robbing others of their chances to win the competition just because you have more supporters. Everytime see this kind of thing makes me feel that the whole competition is meaningless.good thing is this season they changed the judging system now, judges marks will take up 70% while votes only take up 30%.

among the finalists here’s one that DID made me go “Wow”…

Shawn Tok from Loyang Secondary… only sec1… wtf la

—————————————————

finally going to watch Pirates on Wednesday… been waiting for this for damn long… already have lots of positive feedback on the movie. so I guess it’s gonna be great.

Pirates of the CurryBean?

haven’t updated in a while… so here goes

first things first, I probably will have two puppies up for adoption. so anyone interested please tell me. However its not confirmed yet so I can’t guarantee anything.

the puppies in question are the two in the foreground. one male and one female.

———————————————-

our mahjong club is going on pretty well I suppose, had another session at arden’s house on friday night. we had dinner in orchard first before going his house. by the time we got there already 10pm. we wanted to get the tickets for pirates first, but thanks to arden we couldn’t get them.

this was my lousiest hand of the night, we played from 11pm until about 3pm, all so dead tired we couldn’t continue anymore, so we all went to sleep.

we woke up late… so had lunch at arden’s house.. his maid can cook well!

oh… and I found out that his dog can do yoga.

had to go back to orchard again to get the tickets. I think the Cathay staff are rather inexperienced, both staff we spoke to on both days had no idea about the promotions going on and had to go to the office to ask before handling our transaction. I think they should at least be informed about current ongoing promotions and not asking each time a customer comes.

we had dinner at BK, and there was this man who had a wooden tablet on the table, and he was actually moving his hands like those priests drawing talismans in those vampire movies and he was doing it to the wooden tablet. I wanted to get a video of him, but he stopped before I could get my phone ready.

after dinner, went to Fusion Cafe @ OP to chill.. another nice spot for chilling, cos its not really crowded for a saturday evening, when every other place is packed to the brim. we shared the Garden Salad and the Caesar Salad and it was not bad. Maybe next time can go try the main courses there..

the official bullshitting backstabbing gossiping area!

the three bullshitters/backstabbers/gossipers

an ‘A’ made from salt, by ally

a special sauce made by us. Contains pepper, salt, Caesar dressing, honey, tea, and cheese.

chandelier made a nice effect on the ceiling

———————————————–

bought an iPod docking system last week! Phillips one… the price was not bad too.. only $179. compared to other docking systems which can cost more than $600.

finally can stop my mum’s nagging cos I sometimes on the TV throughout the night, now I prefer listening to music before sleeping

来吗, 多 chill 一下

more chilling again!

Part 1

the kind arden invited us to his house again for mahjong session. well that was only part of the reason. the other part was to help him move this extremely heavy marble table from his front porch to the side. good thing there was enough of us to support the weight.

and after moving, we settled down to our mahjong game! managed to squeeze the table into his room, which I sadly can’t do in my room. so in the end one person had to sit on the bed to play.

I took this picture from the bed while I was resting. it’s not my phone’s problem, the lighting in his room is horrible, according to him.

we played until dinner time, where his maid cooked whipped up some food for us. all I can say is his maid fries good vegetables! yummy yummy. the rest were just fried chicken wings, eggs and a steamed fish. we headed to Island Creamery after dinner, was so crowded when we got there, no choice but to buy the ice cream and eat it outside the shop.

the white one is Tiger Sorbet! yes, tiger beer flavoured ice cream. recommended for those who love a tinge of beer in their dessert, but if you’re an alcoholic you might find the flavour too weak (as I found out with my dad). the one in the back is the blackforest flavour, my favourite so far. Why? because the rum flavour in it is so strong and it makes it absolutely delicious! also tried Kahlua latte which cam ordered and Reverse-O which arden ordered.

Part 2

nothing to do so went out with them for dinner. brought us to this place near Selegie which sold Wanton Noodles. saw this shop on a food program before but never go try. turned out not bad after all. I didn’t take any pictures of the noodles cos I think we were a bit hungry.

discovered this shop outside the noodles stall. literally the ‘What’ Shop. selling those anime figurines and stuff. actually most of the shops there were all selling these kind of stuff, comics and anime figurines.

for dessert we walked a short distance to a nice tau huay stall, where we had nice nice smooth smooth tau huay! again I didn’t take any pictures of the tau huay but managed to snap a couple of the alley we were sitting in while waiting.

interesting place to have tau huay, with all the graffiti on the walls. lol

I’m expecting more chilling to come during the next few outings!

No 98% please

met up with arden allison & cam yesterday to discuss a prospective job offer. they had their passport applications filled at ICA first before we rushed down to MOE in a cab for arden & allison’s interview..

me and cam chilled in the canteen while waiting for them to finish their interview.. we walked over to Holland V for lunch, wanted to go have kway chap at the food centre, but we were lazy to walk so far so tried another stall at a coffee shop nearby, regretted it of course. I would prefer the food centre kway chap anytime.

then we took a bus to Ikea! been a while since I’ve been there. the products are more or less still the same, but it was fun discussing ideas on how to decorate our rooms in the future. I already got several plans in mind, maybe can put them into action after NS.

a rather nice sofa set, please excuse the model. last minute added in one. lol

a double decked bed. they put a box there to prevent people from climbing it but arden kept fiddling with it and almost broke it. zzz. (again please excuse the background model)

I loved this wardrobe!!! exactly what I want to have in my room next time, sliding doors are my favourite of course. but the price is a limiting factor…

a good reason why you should measure your beds before you buy them.

decorative balls! allison was pissed that they didn’t have oranged coloured ones.

I never knew KFC had delivery vans? maybe they’re for orders above $500. lol

so we had dinner at KFC (not because we saw the van). All of us had the Meltz meal. yummy as usual.  after that we couldn’t decide where to go so we took bus 64 to see where it would take us. I forgot how but we came to a decision to go to Great World City to chill.

suddenly arden just pressed the bell and told us we reached already. that monkey mistook Grand Copthorne for Great World City. so we had to find our way around. we walked past Zouk and across a bridge before seeing this rather helpful sign.

how helpful yah.

in the end we still managed to find the mall, and finally got to sit down comfortably at coffee bean… we talk cock sing song there until 10+ when the woman switched off all the lights in the store to chase us out.

chilling is fun, should do that more often. and Great World City’s a Great place to chill.
