last night was really 双喜临门, firstly passed the theory trial test, which means I can finally book a date for my final theory test, and also; I cleared stage 1 of the practical lessons already! ya la… stage 1 is only on the basics.. but at least its still an achievement..

gonna have a mini-movie marathon at my house tonight, will be watching movies like Pirates 2, Death Note etc etc. but before that gonna meet friends at AMK first for dinner. So far the decision is at Pizza Hut… zzz that arden… always forcing other people to decide where to eat cos he’s just too plain lazy to think…

I OFFICIALLY NEED RAM.

not that my computer is slow or anything.. it’s just that the games keep requiring more and more RAM to operate… collected C&C3 today at Shaw Lido Cineplex… they had a roadshow there and several computers were set up to allow people to play there…

the graphics are indeed much better now… but again that demands better specs from my computer… therefore I am in need of RAM currently if I am to play the game. Well not that I totally couldn’t play it… but I keep getting errors halfway during the game.. so I end up playing only half the game each time.

damn… getting a splitting headache now.

watched TMNT at Causeway point just now… had to accomodate arden and rayson who was working at Jurong so decided to go there and watch (it’s cathay so I don’t mind )

had dinner at the food court where the majority of us had herbal chicken + soup (various flavours). I laughed so hard at the stall cos when arden ordered Salted Vegetable Duck soup, he told the auntie “我要鸭咸菜汤”

the movie was very good I think… in terms of the animation and storyline… it’s no longer the childish TMNT that we used to watch as kids.. this is a TMNT with a much more mature theme, as well as a darker storyline

can’t wait for pirates 3 to come out on 26th May!

as the title of this post states so obviously… I drove and I baked today

was very happy with the driving lesson today. got a good instructor and of course a good car as well. got a bit of a shock from him though, the moment I got in the car, he took a look and my booklet and SHOOSH! out onto the road he went… I kinda got stunned for a moment cos normally we always start with a few rounds in the circuit first.

today was the furthest I ever went, think I traveled all of AMK Ave 1-10 today… plus many of those streets and lanes that I never even knew existed. and he allowed me to go to gear 4!! it was fun cruising at 60km/h.. lolol

I did the molten chocolate babycakes again as well as a Lady Goldenglow Chocolate Cake… the babycakes turned out very nice as we already did it once when the gang came over for a baking session the other day.. The chocolate cake however didn’t turn out too well as the recipe gave very unclear instructions and I ended up putting too much cocoa powder which made the cake turn out very dry and sticky..

Lady Goldenglow Chocolate Cake as the recipe named it… i know it doesn’t look appetizing, there was supposed to be a sauce covering the entire cake but it turned out rather disastrous so I shall not post it here… its actually a chocolate cake with a tinge of orange flavour to it… the cake tasted ok except for the dryness and stickiness I mentioned earlier…

I think previously people without wordpress accounts were unable to post comments… but now I finally found the option to allow anonymous posting of comments!!! hahahaha… how noobly of me…

one thing I’ve noticed these past few days is that there have been lots of ‘buggy’ incidents happening around. Firstly on Wednesday the papers had a report about eggs in NTUC that were crawling with maggots. somehow the eggs got contaminated or something and one guy apparently took photos with his phone and sent to the papers

then as we were having dinner, Allison bought a plate of veg. rice from and much to her disgust:

a nice fat little worm was happily swimming around amongst the eggplants. ok la.. it was dead I think, but still, its a big fat worm in your food. How disgusted will you be. For those who can’t see, it’s that little rod-shaped object right in the middle of the picture. she returned the plate of rice and didn’t eat anything after that. lol

and today’s papers had an article about an old man that died because of a Vibrio infection after he got nicked by a live crab.

wonder what’s next…

I realized I’ve become quite addicted to the 9pm show on channel 8. guess I’m already missing poly life and since it features scenes from NYP, I guess I’m always on the lookout for which parts are filmed in the show. some interesting points I noticed:

Jieren’s (Cao GuoHui) office is in the NYP lounge.

The place where Xiaoman tries to commit suicide is actually only two storey high.

The cancer department is at the childcare centre.

wonder if they’ll shoot one of the SCL labs as one of the hospital labs… lol.

holy crap… was fucking nervous when I was about to check my results just now.. I mean like seriously, the papers were like shit this semester. proteomics was especially a killer for me. I guess I’m really not the application type of person, so when it comes to the essay I totally had no clue on what to do..

I guess God really looked out for me this time, I did SO MUCH BETTER than I actually thought I would. I seriously expected to have a couple of ‘D’s and ‘B’s with the majority having ‘C’s. But it turned out much better after all.

I feel so happy now! At least my efforts put in were not wasted.
