woots.. finally watch Death Note 2 last night!! wahahahaha waited so long for that day to come.. really enjoyed the movie! thank god I didn’t read the comics cos the whole ending was changed, L was supposed to die and Light continue his killing spree and two more ‘L’s were supposed to appear, but in the end L tricked Light and Light died cos Ryuk wrote his name in the Death Note. but the storyline was still great anyway.

after the movie we went to billy bombers for dinner.. food was good and we had fun!

christmas is the time of the year I usually look forward to, cos my relatives usually have a bbq at my house, this year was no exception of course.. the only part I didn’t like was preparing everything for the event… I had to wake up at 7am in order to go to church so that my parents can go to the market early to get the stuff required… and then it was back home to start preparing..

this was our creation of the night!! doesn’t look quite appetizing rite? its actually a whole salmon fish and we stuffed it with spices such as black pepper and fennel seeds, and covered it with chinese parsley, spring onions and lemon slices, and finally wrapping it with tracing paper and newspaper before putting to on the bbq pit, it was really damn delicious.

this is my cousin’s friends’ daughter Megan, she’s so darn cute laaaa… she’s not even 1yr old yet and so cute already.. she loves to munch on those little honey stars and keeps asking for one more each time she finishes the one in her mouth.. so cute!!

we had lots of foods and drinks until it was near midnight and everyone got ready for the countdown, we bought lots of party poppers and party stringers and fake snow sprays… when it was officially midnight all hell broke loose! everyone had to start running for cover to avoid being covered in foam..

and we had lots of fun playing taboo (in different languages too) we played till like 4am until we could not tahan anymore and everyone went home.. really enjoyed the bbq this year!

had a movie marathon yesterday… really shagged after that.. watched Eragon at 2pm, Charlotte’s Web at 4pm and The Nativity Story at 6pm… Eragon and Charlotte’s Web was really nice, much better than I expected since I had heard some negative feedback about it previously…

oh ya… on saturday my cousin brought us to a fancy restaurant at Rochester Park (Buona Vista).. the restaurant’s called Northern Border Bar & Grill and the ambience there is really nice…

we were seated at a balcony which was surrounded by many bushes and it was under this HUMONGOUS tree!! this pic only shows 1/10 of it…

ah yes… my all-time favourite section.. (in ANY restaurant)

and now for the delicacies!! first up are the Buffalo Wings.. you get a choice of three different levels of spiciness… we took the least spicy one cos we had non-chilli diners… would have liked to try the spicier one though…

and these are the baby back ribs.. it may look normal but the meat is tender and juicy, and the sauce is delightfully tasty… very nice combination!

the grilled chicken quesadillas (pronounced kay-sa-di-yas).. this to me is the second best tasting dish even though its just an appetizer… it has a mixture of vegetables (including fruits) and grilled chicken pieces and melted cheese all wrapped up with the crispy bread… absolutely delicious!

they call this dish “Aunty Helen’s Whoop-your-ass Pasta” cos its supposed to be spicy pasta… and again there are three levels of spiciness to choose from.. no prizes for guessing which one we chose.. I would also have liked to try the spicier versions… overall… really the spiciest pasta you can find around.

and to me the best dish of the night, the Braised Lamb Shanks… its almost perfect… the meat is the juiciest and tenderest I’ve ever tasted.. and the sauce really characterizes the whole dish, going with the mashed potato is also a wonderful treat for your taste buds.. a must try should you visit this place!

yes and finally dessert, I’ll give you $100 if you can guess what flavour that ice cream is. Give up?? its chilli. YES, you didn’t hear wrongly.. its chilli flavoured ice cream!! amazing right? when I first saw this in the menu.. I was suspicious of it.. but since the menu said “for the adventurous only” why not? the taste is really amazing too, when you first put the ice cream into your mouth, its juz the normal dairy taste you get with all ice cream, but after it melts and you swallow it, you actually feel the spiciness in your throat!! I was really amazed at how they could actually come up with this.. Kudos to them!!!

for those who missed the Star Awards last week… Huang Yiliang once again shocked everyone with his out-of-the-ordinary style of speech… this year he kept rattling on about his ex-wife (Lin Mei Jiao) what a guy… zzz

the common test is over !!! no more burning the midnight oil !!! and definitely no more Red Bull… yesterday when we stayed back in school to try past year questions.. these ‘red bull women’ came in carrying cans of red bulls on their back.. and started blah-ing on about its benefits, but the good thing was we all had a can free :p

Before going home I bought 2 more cans from Cheers cos I guess I won’t have time to sleep at all… well I had one can last nite to last me till 2am and another can this morning to last me thru the paper… hopefully the Taurine really helped me…

MBID is the only module which I have the confidence in getting an ‘A’… maybe with a bit of luck I can get A’s for those that I expect to get a B…

after the last paper today we headed over to yishun to a lanshop called Chambers… supposed to have good comps blah blah… we ate yoshinoya at NorthPoint before taking 854 a few bus stops to stop at Khatib and walk over…

we walked pass many HDB blocks and pass a small park… and suddenly when we turned around a corner… everyone kinda got stunned at the sight… to those who were present they will agree with me that the road we saw ahead of us was one you would thought only to exist in extremely rural areas like those kampongs in malaysia…

the road was totally deserted except for a few cars and lorries… and surrounding us were small decapitated houses… worst of all there wasn’t any shade zzz… so we walked under the blazing (I repeat, BLAZING) sun for like 15mins before we finally found the main road.. and it doesn’t end there yet!!

after cutting out to the main road, we still had a 10mins walk before we finally reached our destination… however after all that walking we went there to find out that it was open only to ‘members’. we were like WTF???

luckily there was another lanshop nearby if not we would have gone all the way for nothing… we had two rounds of DotA and it was real fun.. cos damn long haven play against people liao…

really looking forward to the visit to the zoo next wednesday.. I haven’t been to the zoo in like…. years?? at least 3 years.. I only remember the latest visit was to the Night Safari which was actually boredom at the highest level.. I spent around 3 hours there and the only animal I saw was an owl…

anyway expect many picsto come! cos I got a new Canon Digital Ixus 850is… muahahaha no more 3.2megapixel piece of crap..
